Hello guys, today we are still selling. We help our other friends to make sales today. After selling today, I used my time to try making lava cake that my group will make later in the final.




Molten Chocolate Cake or also known as lava cake is a popular dessert by combining flourless chocolate or chocolate decadence and souffle. What is different from this cake compared to other cakes is the hot liquid chocolate in the middle. The exciting moment is when you cut the cake, the liquid chocolate will seep out. There are several versions of who found this cake. But the whole story began in 1966, the first cake known to have liquid in the middle of the cake was found in the Fudge cake Tunnel in Texas, made by Ella Helfrich who intelligently added powder frosting in the cake. As you know, this cake wasn't very popular at the time. After that, in 1979 the Emporium Foodworks in Manhattan served the Chocolate Souffle cake which was almost the same as the Tunnel of Fudge cake. But, in this cake the dough is really flourless, like a soft chocolate mousse.


Another version of the cake was made by Michul Bras with a patent on her chocolate cake, Coulant. This version of Bras cake is the father of this lava cake. The cake is the same as the other cakes and uses ganache in the cake which is cooled overnight. Ganache is popular for making the outer cake fully cooked and making chocolate in the middle of the cake remain liquid. Then, in 1987 chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in America found another version of the liquid chocolate cake.


The history of the creation of this choco lava originated from the failure of a chef. The chef took out the chocolate cake from the oven too quickly, making the chocolate cake part still runny. "Chocolate lava cake".


This lava cake is usually baked in ramekin (a ceramic bowl or small glass that is heat resistant. It can be a serving bowl too). This cake has four basic ingredients, namely butter, sugar, chocolate, sugar and flour. According to your own taste, you can add several ingredients such as cinnamon, coffee or other flavors. The process of making cakes begins with melting butter and chocolate, and shaking the other ingredients until they are perfectly mixed as the base of the cake. You can add a little flour in the dough to make the flavor in the center better.
