Hello genks, Today my fourth day is practicing in the kitchen in the first week after Mid Semester, as usual, my post this time will tell you about my activities in the kitchen today. Now, in my post this time a little different from my previous post. because today we enter into material about fruit carving.

This morning, Sir Wawan opened the class by explaining the material about fruit carving. and show some videos about the process of making frut carving, and explain to us about the task or method of learning through the google class that will be made by sir Wawan.

 

Next I will share a little material about fruit carving.
Fruit Carving is one of the art of carving these fruits. usually served in large events such as making a yellow rice cone. This art is a mainstay of Thailand's tourism.
Thailand is known as one of the best fruit-producing countries in the world. so it is no stranger if this art is very developed in Thailand. Fruits commonly used include melons, watermelons, cucumbers, oranges, carrots, tomatoes, etc. Not only wood and stone can be carved. Fruits also become very beautiful and attractive when touched by the hands of fruit carving artists. Deftly these artists make whole fruits turn into statues that have high artistic value.
This is Fruit Carving, an art in serving food with beauty, usually the media used are fruits that are round and have a soft texture. Decorating or carving has special skills, because in addition to requiring skill, patience, and a strong imagination, it also requires people who really have a high artistic spirit. Not even all experienced chefs can create and pour their ideas so that the appearance of the dish is interesting. The creativity and creativity of the ideas in serving dishes are expensive because they contain high artistic value. This art of carving fruit and vegetables is called Fruit Carving.
In the fruit carving art, someone will carve and carve a fruit using tools that are quite simple, namely, cutter, serrated knife and toothpick if needed. Or use special tools. The most common is the carving knife. the blades used also varied, and each had a twisted end, to make curved strokes,
 

 

After the class about fruit carving is finished, then I help the group of morning tea to make some menus that will be served when morning tea in the mulo building. I helped make traditional cakes pretty sweet and helped make croissants and danish.
